Window and Patio Door Weather preperation |

With winter coming upon us it is important to make sure your window and patio doors are ready. If you have not yet replaced your old inefficient windows and doors this is the time to do it. However if you have replaced the old for the new there are some things to help them to work for you this season. You should make sure that they are clean in the sills inside and the weep holes are clean. this will help with the rain to go where it is supposed to... outside.
As the temperature drops there will be moisture build up inside, if you have a warm house and it is cold outside. It is a normal response to the moisture in the air. This is your windows "sweating" just like a ice cold drink on a hot day. To help in this process keep your blinds (or window treatments) open about 4-5 inches to keep air flow.
